I could see that my son was clearly struggling in Math in High School. He had lost his interest and confidence to solve the problems. Getting him with Anna was one of the best decisions that I could do for him. I have seen sudden improvement in his scores and he says that he understands Math better now and likes Anna’s approach and teaching methodology.
I have been working with Mrs. Roshal for over 2 years and I love working with her. Her ability to go into a topic and make it easy to learn is very helpful. She is a very fun and bubbly teacher and I enjoy working with her.
Well, according to both of my kids, you’re THE BEST!
We are on year 2 with Anna, first with Algebra 1(FR)and now with Geometry(SOPH) and not only has Anna given Nora a very good understanding of both subjects, but she has also given the tools to Nora to where she is confident about her Math skills. She and Nora meet weekly for one hour and each session is a helpful review of class and upcoming exams.
We are all so grateful for Anna in our family.
My biggest struggle was that teachers in the classroom were going too fast for me so I couldn’t process the material as well. You were very patient, calm and described the material step by step until I could understand it. This made me very confident to go to school knowing that I mastered the material.
He is loving working with you!! I mean it has changed his whole attitude around math. He feels empowered and said “Mom, I am not dumb at math. I just need to go slow”
(over the years sadly he just thought he was dumb…. Breaks my heart)
You have been truly a superhero in his life!
The biggest struggle was finding someone (student) related to. Someone, she felt comfortable with. The minute you walked in the door, she was so happy. And children will work for and try their best for tutors/teachers they feel safe with. You challenged her but (student) knew you wanted her to succeed.
As a parent, you were a huge lifesaver as his tutor. Having someone else be able to explain it to him (besides a parent) saved many fights. Always better when someone else teaches your child.
My biggest struggle before I met you was math and comprehending the material that we were learning in class. I started with you as a sophomore and worked with you through my senior year (high school). You helped me overcome by teaching me the material in a way that I was able to understand and also apply.
You were the first tutor who really understood me. You’re the best teacher I ever had, and the best part is that you’re also my friend! I tell everyone that without you, I don’t think I would’ve received that high school diploma. I struggled with having someone who actually listened to me, and you’re the first tutor who did.
I learned math in a way that wasn’t being taught in school, (Anna) showed me a different way or explained it differently so I could understand. Also, (Anna) was encouraging without being over the top, I really felt like (Anna) believed I was good at math so I believed I was good at math.
I just wanted to share that Luke told me that “Mrs. Roshal makes learning math kind of fun!” He is really enjoying working with you. And I’m sure he has shared that his last couple of quizzes have gone VERY well! I believe he is at an A- in math now?! Thank you!!!!
I saw my son struggle with math on a daily basis until we engaged Anna to help him. Meeting with Anna once a week allowed Alex to learn how to organize math problems in a way that made sense to him. After each session, he emerged a more confident student with a clear understanding of the concepts taught in the classroom.
Students, parents, and teachers need support. And that is where Anna steps in to add value. Whether it’s reteaching skills, reinforcement of skills, or teaching brand new skills, Anna can help support our student’s move to the level in academics.
We love Anna and will be forever grateful for her support!!
When asked why was there a need for a tutor for her children:
“I think it was middle school math not being explained so they (Susan’s children) could understand. They always told me you explained things in a way that made it feel easy to understand. You were AWESOME!”
As Hasita is going back to in-person learning, I would like to take this opportunity and express my gratitude and thanks for teaching her online. She really enjoyed your classes and explained to me every day what she learned from you.
She always tells me that you are the BEST MATH TEACHER she has ever had.
It seems she is going to miss you a lot!
The girls are looking forward to camp today. They have really enjoyed it. They come back talking about their jobs and how much money they’ve budgeted for everything. This is such a great education for them to have at this stage in their lives. Thank you. We would definitely be interested in any camps you decide to offer over the summer.
I’m going to have the best time of my day right now because I’m going to see Anna.
